Yabba Dabba Doo Porsche 911 GT3 RS: Pedal-Powered Sports Machine Made from Cardboard and Aluminum Foil

This here is the Ferdinand 911 GT3 RS - without doubt, the most technologically advanced and at the same time environmentally-friendly and fuel efficient Porsche model ever to see the light of day.

It uses a high tech chassis bonded together with a special adhesive tape coated in polyethylene while the body is finger-made from exotic lightweight materials such as thin sheets of paperboard covered in a space-age aluminum foil that serves various purposes.

In this case, power is provided by a left-to-mid-mounted human-boxer unit capable of delivering a yawn-inspiring 1 fhp (foot horsepower) when fully fed, relaxed and emotionally happy.

New Porsche 911 GT2 RS: Mega Gallery with 71 Photos, Plus Video of 620HP Beast

Following a bevy of leaks this past week, Porsche went ahead today and officially introduced its new 911 GT2 RS supercar to the world. Quick facts: it gets a twin turbocharged flat-six with 620HP and at the same time it's a whopping 70kg or 154 lbs lighter than the prior 911 GT2.

Did we mention that it's also the fastest and most powerful road-going sports car ever built in the history of Porsche and that it turns the Nrburgring race track in just 7 minutes and 18 seconds or four seconds faster than the Dodge Viper ACR?

But let's take it from the start. The crown jewel of the 997 lineup is powered by a 3.6-liter six-cylinder boxer engine boosted by two turbochargers with variable turbine geometry that churns out 620HP and 700Nm or 516 lb-ft of peak torque. It drives the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.

VIDEO: Carrera GT Owners Invited to Silverstone for Porsche Experience

On a lunch break? Then you've got enough time to watch a couple videos about the recent Carrera GT celebration at Silverstone, where Porsche invited some owners out for a day at the track.

Fair warning: they're videos showcasing the Porsche Experience at Silvestone Circuit, meaning they're a little one-sided (not that I can see anything wrong with the car).

VIDEO: Ferrari 458 Italia vs. Porsche GT3 - The Comparison

Sent over by Seor Chris Harris from EVO were these tasty videos featuring an "unauthorized comparo" between Ferrari's 458 Italia and Porsche's GT3 RS. According to Mr. Harris, "I'm probably banned from Maranello for life. Hey-ho. At least I got to rinse a 458 and a GT3 RS."

HEY-HO indeed.

For an interesting run-through and comparison of these two track-day supercars (Ferrari isn't releasing the 458 Scuderia/track model for a while), check out the vids after the jump. Don't forget, we over here aren't afraid of no stinkin' Ferrari. I'm watching you, Montezemolo.

VIDEO: Porsche Panamera Turbo Taxi is one Helluva of a Cab

Here's an interesting take on the German high speed taxi war - that's right, it DOES exist. According to the video, Auto Bild editor Jrg Maltzan is more than willing to play a role in taking the battle to the streets -if only for a short period- with a Porsche Panamera Turbo. If anyone can clarify with a proper translation, send it over to us in the comments section after the jump.

Either way, it looks like the 500-horsepower "Taxamera" Turbo has a message for BMW's M5 'Ring taxi: Bring it on. Now if it would only head over and pull some weekend duty for tourists at the Nrburgring, we'd have a real competition on our hands. Follow the jump for the video.

VIDEO: 2012 Porsche Boxster Spied During Winter Testing

Porsche engineers were caught on film recently testing the next generation of the Boxster roadster that is due to be revealed at a major international motor show sometime next year.

Just like the upcoming successor to today's 911 (see the spy shots here), the Boxster prototype looks no different from the current model, but that shouldn't come to as a surprise to Porschephiles that are used to the company's evolutionary approach to design.

The new Boxster will share many parts with the next 911 while the German engineers will most likely try to further reduce the car's weight to improve handling as well as to boost fuel efficiency.
