2012 Camaro: New interior, Z/28 Possibly Showing Up


Due to some complaints with the new Camaro's lackluster (but cool-looking) interior, GM is said to readying a revised version for the 2012 model year.

According to Straightline's special GM contact, "most of the upgrading work will go into the dash and...that big expanse of blackness in front of the passenger."

A revision would be a huge help in making the interior less concept and more daily driver, addressing other details people have had complaints about as well. These issues include the funky steering wheel and gauges (issues with readability have arisen with both primary and auxiliary gauges).

MTM Creates An Audi RS6 Clubsport With 730 Horsepower


MTM recently took the wraps off of its latest Audi tuning job, the RS6 Clubsport package.

The already-quite-speedy RS6 gets some new aero work (front lip and rear diffuser in carbon fiber) and new independently adjustable springs.

Other external goodies include black 21-inch wheels, black tips on the new stainless steel exhaust system, and that...unique...color treatment.

VIDEO: BMW 328 Kamm Coupe and Winning Maserati from the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2010


At this year's edition of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, BMW showed off a 328 Kamm Coup� replica that was built in-house by BMW Classic. The original model, named after the German aerodynamics pioneer Wunibald Kamm, disappeared without trace back in 1953.

The prestigious annual show was organized under the patronage of the BMW Group and was held on April 23-25.

New Audi R8 GT: Hardcore Lightweight Special with 560HP V10


[Updated] Audi has lifted the covers off a more powerful, lighter and faster special edition version of its mid-engined supercar called the R8 GT. It will be produced in a strictly limited number of 333 units with prices in Germany set at �193,000, or about US$256,500 at today's exchange rates.

The headline grabbing figures are a more potent version of the 5.2-liter V10 engine pumping 560HP, total weight savings of roughly 100kg or 220 lbs, a 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h or 199mph.

In detail and starting from the weight saving measures, Audi managed to shave a hefty 100 kg or 220 pounds off the standard R8 5.2 FSI with the R8 GT tipping the scales at 1,525 kg or 3,362 lbs.

Badass Bentley Continental GT Ultrasports 702 by Wheelsandmore


Being the fastest and most powerful Bentley in the firm's 90-year history, you would think that tuning biz would skip on the 621HP Continental Supersports. Think again.

The German tuning specialist "Wheelsandmore" (talk about a straightforward name...) has just revealed a new package with performance mods for the British GT.

By modifying the vehicle's ECU and adding a sport exhaust system and a new sport catalyst, Wheelsandmore was able to up output to 702HP and 650 lb-ft of torque. As a result top speed is also by 5 mph, so this Bentley won't stop until it hits 209 mph or 336 km/h.

Ford to Provide NYPD with Fusion / Escape Hybrid Patrol Cars


Not to be left behind in the quest to clean up our planet, the NYPD announced that it will be adding 200 hybrid vehicles to its fleet in the form of Ford Fusion and Escape Hybrids.

The announcement comes after officers across the five boroughs began testing copped-out Nissan Altima hybrids this time last year.

NYPD spokesman John McCarthy explains, "These [Altimas] were the first hybrids outfitted with a police package being used for patrol. We wanted to see how they held up after being subjected to use on patrol. After a year of use, the feedback has been positive."
