2011 Infiniti Etherea Concept

Making its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2011 Motor Etherea reinvents the concept of compact Infiniti luxury car for a new generation of demanding younger buyers, while offering a vision of future Infiniti European range in Congress different challenges reached the mark in the compact segment for the first time.


"Ether is a new kind of luxury," said Toru Saito, Corporate Vice President and Head of Global Business Unit Infiniti.

Other improvements include a new exterior color in 2012, Shadow Graphite (Graphite replaces Platinum), a new design 20-inch wheels for the FX35 Deluxe Touring Package, and a shift of quilted leather front seats climate controlled with FX35 Touring Deluxe Package from Premium.


One of the few vehicles that are equally fascinating is stationary or moving, the Infiniti FX is again available in the range of 390 hp 5.0-liter 32-valve DOHC V8 with VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) or 303 horses power, 3, 5 liter 24-valve DOHC V6. Both engines are paired with standard 7-speed adaptive automatic transmission (ASC).

FX is also provided to the domain of intelligent all-wheel drive (standard on Limited Edition FX35 and FX50), wishbone front / multi-link rear suspension and large 4-disc brakes and available Continuous Damping Control (CDC �), Rear Active Steer, Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) and 21-inch lightweight aluminum-alloy wheels.


As a showcase of innovative technology capabilities of Infiniti, the FX offers Intelligent Brake Assist available (IBA), Distance Control Assist (DCA), Intelligent Cruise Control (Full-Speed ??Range), Lane Departure Warning (LDW ) and Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) and the Around View Monitor � (AVM) - which provides a 360 � view virtual objects around the vehicle, helping to maneuver in tight spaces.

The 2012 FX is available in four models: FX50 AWD with 5.0-liter V8, Infiniti FX35 AWD with 3.5-liter V6 FX35 RWD with 3.5-liter V6 engine, and FX Limited Edition, 3.5 liter V6. Also available is a range of special equipment packages: Premium Package, Deluxe Touring Package, Technology Package and Sport Package.

Infiniti Developing 'IPL' Performance Division?


Does Infiniti dare take on the likes of BMW's M, Mercedes-Benz's AMG, and Audi's S/RS/quattro? Probably not immediately, but recent reports indicate that something performance-minded is going on at Nissan's luxury brand. Infiniti has begun the process of establishing IPL, or the Infiniti Performance Line.

IPL is likely to be much like Nismo, providing sport suspensions, spoilers, seats, and shift knobs. For those wanting more (like a supercharged M luxo-barge), there's some light at the end of the tunnel. According to the filings, Infiniti's high-performance division may work to develop supercharger / turbocharger applications.

Rumors: Next Infiniti M and G May Share Platform with Mercedes E-Class


There has been a lot of talk lately about the recently inked strategic cooperation between Daimler AG and the Renault-Nissan Alliance. And we're not referring to the official agreements on the development of a new rear-wheel drive platform for small cars and the swapping of diesel and petrol engines between the two groups.

Leaving aside recent rumors of a small Infiniti CUV based on the next generation of Mercedes' A / B Class, Japan's Best Car magazine is now reporting in its latest issue that the Infiniti M and G replacements (Nissan Fuga and Skyline in Japan) will share a common architecture with the Mercedes E-Class.

Infiniti Launches Second Diesel Model - EX30d On Sale in Europe from July


Following on from the recent announcement on the FX30d, Infiniti's European arm has now released pricing for the smaller EX30d. On sale across Europe from July, Infiniti says it expects the EX diesel models to account for eight out of every 10 EX sales in the continent.

The EX30d is powered by the same 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel found on the FX30d. It generates 238-horsepower and 550Nm (406 lb ft) of peak torque at 1750rpm, and is matted to a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Infiniti Presents Limited Edition Timepiece Designed by Bell & Ross


Following in the footsteps of other premium automakers, Infiniti has announced the release of a limited edition wristwatch engineered by the Swiss specialist watchmaker Bell & Ross. Only 100 examples of the watch are being produced, and will be offered exclusively through Infiniti Centres in Europe starting from June 1st at a recommended retail price (RRP) of �2,809.97 or about US$3,576.

Infiniti Confirms UK Pricing for its First Diesel Model, the FX30d


The first-ever diesel-powered Infiniti, the new FX30d is orderable now in Britain from �45,150, or �200 more than the equivalent FX37 petrol model, with deliveries set to start from July.

The FX30d uses a new 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine co-developed in Europe with other engineers from the Renault - Nissan Alliance. The diesel unit delivers 238-horsepower and 550Nm (406 lb ft) of pulling power, available at just 1750rpm.

Infiniti Recalling 134,215 G35 Sedan and Coupe Models Over Airbag Issue


Nissan said on Tuesday it will recall close to 135,000 Infiniti G35 sedans and coupes to address a glitch with a wiring harness connecting the belt tension sensor (BTS) and the occupant detection sensor (ODS) control unit under the front passenger seat that may prevent the passenger airbag from deploying in a crash.

The affected models are G35 sedans manufactured from March 29, 2004 through August 25, 2006, and G35 Coupes built between April 1, 2004 and May 30, 2007.

Infiniti G37 Cup� com pintura inspirada no Cirque du Soleil

Em comemora��o dos 20 anos da Infiniti. A artista pl�stica Heidi Taillefer fez a pintura de um cup� G37 inspirada no Cirque du Soleil. As pinturas trazem 25 anos de hist�ria do Cirque e foi batizado de Ligozzi.

O carro n�o teve sua estrutura modificada, somente recebeu a pintura, que levou um m�s para ficar pronta.

O Infiniti G37 ficar� em exibi��o nas lojas da marca no Canad� at� o fim do ano. Depois ser� leiloado e o lucro ser� revertido a uma institui��o de caridade.

Infiniti FX50

Nissan's luxury division, Infiniti, has revealed their FX50 super-size SUV - replacing its predecessor FX45 - at Geneva 2008. The 2009 FX will be powered by a new 5.0L V8 capable of 390hp and 500Nm, which succeeds the 4.5L (320hp) V8 of the FX45. Also available will be an FX Sport Package that adds on Continuous Damping Control (CDC) suspension, Rear-Active Steer and 21-inch alloys. Infiniti claims that this option will improve chassis balance and handling.
